"Apart from the Day Itself, There Was No Major Discomfort"
What people with jobs ask first in a consultation is not the result but the schedule. If they cannot work out how many days they need to take off and when they can return to work, they cannot set a date.
That was also the worry this person wrote before surgery.
"My biggest worry was the disruption to daily life after surgery. Once I actually had it, apart from the day itself there was no major discomfort."
I Do Not Fix It at So Many Days
In this person's case, apart from the day itself, there was no major discomfort. However, the speed of recovery differs with the amount of tissue removed, the kind of work you do, and your level of activity. Someone who works sitting down and someone whose work involves lifting heavy things cannot return at the same point.
So I do not say it will take so many days; I explain it in stages. Raising your arms above your shoulders, lifting weight, and exercise that makes you sweat are each cleared at different points. The period of wearing the compression garment is also adjusted according to the state of the wound and swelling.
From the day after surgery, most people can wash and do desk work. Still, it is better not to schedule anything that uses the body for long, such as business trips or long drives, in the first week. There are follow-up appointments to check progress for three to four weeks after surgery, so setting the date with that schedule factored in avoids strain.

The Glandular Tissue Was Bigger Than Expected
As something that stayed with them, they wrote this.
"I was surprised that the glandular tissue was bigger than I thought"
After the surgery, we show the patient the tissue that was removed. The more someone came in thinking the cause of their protruding chest was fat, the more surprised they are at this moment. Gynecomastia is not a matter of fat alone but a state in which glandular tissue has grown as well, and glandular tissue does not shrink with exercise or weight control. That is why it stayed the same despite years of exercise.
About the clinic's atmosphere, they wrote that the staff were kind and that it was good that they were all men. Gynecomastia examinations are conducted with the shirt lifted from the very first visit. Who is in the room determines how heavy that burden feels.
In the box for what they wanted to do after surgery, there was this answer.
"I couldn't wear close-fitting clothes because I was embarrassed about my chest, but I think I'll try wearing all kinds of clothes now."
As the clothes taken out of the closet increase, the range you can choose from shrinks, and after a few years in that state it hardens into what looks like taste. Widening it again does not take long.
As for cost, the right order is to first confirm at an examination whether national health insurance applies.
