To Those Facing the Same Concern

"Instead of spending that time worrying,
come to Trueman and get a consultation soon"

"I thought it was a burden I would carry for life"

Among those who have lived with gynecomastia for a long time, quite a few have resigned themselves, thinking, “I guess this is just for life.”

Dr. Moon Chul, Part 6

Having never even imagined it could be fixed, their first reaction to surgery as an option is doubt: “Will it really work?” Today, borrowing the story of one patient who came to us carrying that deep-seated concern, I would like to share a few words with those standing in the same place.

The worry: "Will this really fix it?"

Two things worried him most: whether the results would live up to his expectations, and a more fundamental doubt — “isn't gynecomastia something that never goes away?”

The longer you have lived with a concern, the harder it is to believe it can actually be resolved. Replacing that doubt with an accurate diagnosis and a clear explanation is where every change begins.

A warm welcome put his mind at ease

When we asked how he felt on his first visit, he said, “It was unfamiliar at first, but the staff were so kind that it felt better than words can express.”

In a place that deals with concerns people find hard to bring up, the warmth of the welcome is what puts them at ease. That first moment of comfort is something we value above all.

Right after surgery, a few words from the medical team

When we asked about the most memorable moment of the surgery, he answered, “When they told me it was over, it didn't quite feel real — but a few caring words from the medical team really put my mind at ease.”

Surgery is not only about technique. Our role is to see that patients finish their procedure comfortably, and to look after how they feel in the moments right after.

"I want to shake off that weight and become someone at ease"

When we asked what he most wanted to do after surgery, he spoke of shaking off the self-consciousness he felt whenever he wore thin clothing: “I want to leave that suffocating feeling behind and become someone at ease.”

When we asked what he would say to others facing the same concern, he answered:

"Instead of spending that time worrying,
come to Trueman and get a consultation soon."

"The sooner you do it, the sooner you can truly leave that worry behind."

That first step out of a worry you thought would last a lifetime — Trueman Daegu will take it with you.
