"Now I Can Wear Sleeveless Shirts Without Embarrassment"
The reason people do not wear sleeveless tops in summer is not their arms. It is the part visible from the side along the line of the shoulder.
The answer the person I am introducing today wrote for what they most wanted to do after surgery was about exactly that: "I think I'll now be able to go out in sleeveless shirts without being embarrassed."
The Line Seen from the Side
Gynecomastia shows more when seen from the side than from the front. So people choose their angle when photos are taken, avoid sitting next to others, and cut down on movements that raise the arms.
A sleeveless top is clothing that shows that line as it is. Many people have settled on wearing one more layer over a short-sleeved shirt all summer long. Clothes end up sitting in the closet untouched for years.

Someone Who Worried It Would Hurt
As their biggest worry before surgery, they wrote that it might hurt, and that once they actually went through it, they let go of that worry.
This is this person's case. The degree of pain varies with the extent of excision and the individual's condition, so in consultations I do not tell people it will not hurt. Instead, I explain in order what discomfort may come at which stage and what you can do at that time.
The First Two Days After Surgery
The 12 to 48 hours right after surgery are a period with a risk of bleeding, so you spend that time with additional compression over the compression garment. When you come to the clinic the next day, we check for any bleeding and then remove that additional compression.
During this period you cannot do upper-body exercise, but you can do light walking or lower-body squats. Our surgery is performed under sedation, and the surgery itself takes about thirty minutes.
The Box Where They Wrote It Was Good
As their impression when they first came to the clinic, they wrote this: "The staff were all so kind, and it was really good."
Gynecomastia care involves undressing and showing a part you have long kept hidden several times: at the consultation, at the check before surgery, and each time we look at your progress afterward. What attitude you meet in that setting leads to whether you keep the next appointment. That is also why our Daegu branch is run mainly with male medical staff.
Words That They Strongly Recommend It
The words they left for others with the same concern were these: "I strongly, strongly recommend the surgery"
These are words spoken from this person's own experience, and whether surgery is needed differs from person to person. Gynecomastia varies in degree and form, and in some cases it is better to watch how it develops. You can make your judgment after confirming your condition through an examination.
