"I Want to Go Shopping for Clothes"
The worries people write before surgery generally fall into two strands: that the surgery itself might go wrong, and that anesthesia is frightening.
What the person in today's story wrote was exactly those two: complications, and whether something abnormal might happen during anesthesia.
In this person's case there were no particular complications after surgery, and no pain or dizziness after anesthesia.
But that is their case, and I cannot say any operation carries no possibility of complications at all. In gynecomastia surgery, bleeding, hematoma, seroma, and changes in sensation at the surgical site can occur, and their frequency and degree differ. The way to address the worry is not to declare that these do not happen, but to go in knowing in advance what can happen and how we respond when it does.
Let me also address anesthesia. We operate under sedation. The surgery takes place while you are asleep and finishes in about thirty minutes. If you have had an abnormal reaction to anesthesia before, or take medication or have an underlying condition, you must tell us in advance at the examination. That information is what allows us to prepare.

Asked about their first impression, they answered that the atmosphere was bright and kind. They said no particular moment from the surgery stayed with them.
Both answers are short, but coming from someone who arrived worried about complications and anesthesia, they are not as dull as they look. It means they came in worried and left with nothing in particular to remember.
For what they most wanted to do after surgery, this person chose buying nice clothes.
The closets of people who have lived with gynecomastia have something in common: dark colors, generous cuts, clothes good for layering. Wanting to buy nice clothes means they can now drop that standard when choosing. Every time I see this answer, I am reminded of where the purpose of this surgery lies.
To others with the same concern, this person left a short note to the effect of not putting it off. I think it carries the feeling of someone who endured it for a long time.
But it is their experience, and the timing and necessity of surgery differ from person to person. If you are facing the same concern, rather than hurrying, confirm your condition through an examination first and judge from that result.
They wrote that they had nothing to ask for, along with thanks. We received that greeting gladly.
