I Don't Think You Need to Be Afraid

Five of the six boxes held one short sentence each. This was not someone who writes at length. Even so, read in order, it is clear what worried them and what remained.

What Worried Them Was Complications

In the box asking what worried them most before surgery, this person wrote only: "Surgical complications." And below it, they added that the worry was gone.

Worrying about complications in gynecomastia surgery is only natural. We explain the possible course and how it is managed at the consultation first. In this person's case, it passed without what they had feared. But that is their course, and because the amount of tissue and the speed of recovery differ from person to person, it is difficult to state uniformly.

겁먹지 않아도 될 것 같습니다

What Remains After Hearing the Explanation

What this person wrote as staying with them was the explanation. "The doctor explained it well, so I felt reassured."

Pre-operative explanations are given in the consulting room. What will be done and to what extent, what to be careful about afterward. Having that picture in mind before getting on the table is what eases the tension. I read their saying they felt reassured as meaning that sequence worked as it should.

The Words That You Need Not Be Afraid

Asked for a word to others with the same concern, they wrote: "I don't think you need to be afraid of having the surgery." That is the view of someone who has been through it. But whether surgery is needed is something to decide after confirming your own condition through an examination.

The box for what they most wanted to do after surgery was left empty. I hope something worth filling that box in comes along.
