I think I'll finally be able to wear what I want
His feedback was brief overall. But on exactly one question, the answer grew long: what he most wanted to do after surgery.
Feedback that dwells less on how the surgery went and more on the life that comes after it. I am always glad to read that kind of answer. So today I will change the order and start with what he was looking forward to.
Working out, and clothes

About what he most wanted to do after surgery, he wrote this.
"I want to work out and get in shape. And I'm looking forward to being able to wear whatever I like."
For men with gynecomastia, exercise and clothing are a strange pair of subjects. You train to build your body, but the chest never comes together the way you want; and you end up choosing clothes only for what they hide. His answer carries a plan to take both of those back on his own terms. That is the point where surgery becomes a beginning rather than an end.
It started with worries about pain and recovery
It was not all anticipation from the start, of course. Asked what worried him most before surgery, he named pain and the length of recovery.
For men who have to keep up with work and daily life while having surgery, the recovery period easily becomes a vague fear. So in consultation we explain not only the procedure itself but specifically how the first few days afterward tend to go and in what stages people return to normal life. He wrote that the consultation was kind, and I think what that kindness really consists of is exactly this concreteness. Recovery speed differs from person to person, so what it will look like in your case is best confirmed in an examination.
To men facing the same concern
He left a message for men with the same concern, to the effect that it is better not to put it off.
I understand how someone who has been through it feels, but that is his conclusion. Whether to have surgery, and if so when, is something to judge after confirming your own condition through an examination. Still, if you have been stuck in deliberation, use a consultation as a place to gather the information that will help you sort it out.
A summer spent wearing what he wants on a body he has trained for. I will be looking forward to that scene along with him.
