"I Worried Nothing Would Change Even After Surgery"
There is a worry about what to do if nothing changes even after surgery. It is a harder kind to voice than worries about pain or scarring. This person wrote that worry down just as it was.
"I was worried nothing would change even after surgery. But after surgery there was really a lot of change, and I feel tremendously satisfied."
The Amount of Tissue Determines the Extent of Change
How much gynecomastia surgery changes things differs with the amount of glandular tissue originally present, the proportion of fat, and how much the skin has stretched. For people who had a lot of glandular tissue the removal shows clearly, while for people whose main cause was fat, the result can look different depending on changes in weight. So before surgery we check the ratio by ultrasound and tell you in advance roughly what degree of change can be expected.
You should not judge right after surgery. Early on, it feels firm to the touch because of swelling, and the two sides look different. It takes several months for the shape to settle, and keeping the scheduled appointments during that time affects the result.

When My Arms and Legs Were Strapped
As something that stayed with them during the surgery, they wrote this.
"I was very nervous when my arms and legs were strapped down during the surgery, but afterward they let me rest comfortably, and after plenty of rest I was able to go home without trouble."
Securing the arms and legs on the operating table is a safety procedure. Because you cannot hold your own position under anesthesia, it is done in every surgery, and this process is carried out by the anesthesiologist and the surgical team. Once sedation begins you stay asleep until the surgery is over. After you wake, your condition is checked in the recovery room and then you go home.
As what they wanted to do after surgery, they wrote that they wanted to change their body through exercise and managing their diet. Gynecomastia surgery does not replace exercise. But once the cause that exercise could not resolve has been dealt with, the effort put in begins to show. Resuming starts with light cardio, and upper-body weight training is cleared last. This is decided by looking at the state of the wound and swelling, so do not judge it on your own; confirm it at your appointment.
Words of High Satisfaction
When I asked what they wanted to say to those still considering it, they answered this.
"I'm so satisfied I'd have the surgery 10 times, even 100 times over. I strongly recommend it."
This is this person's own experience. Whether surgery is needed, and whether now is the right time, is something to decide after your own condition is confirmed at an examination.
The exercise plan can begin after confirming the timing at an examination.
