Wearing Light-Colored Clothes

Some people write short reviews. A short sentence does not mean what they went through was light. The answers this person left were mostly one line each, and those lines followed one after another in order.

Pain Was the Worry

Pain is the question raised most often in consultations.

This person was the same. "I was worried about pain, but after one or two days I could carry on completely normally, which was good." But that is their case. How much pain is felt, how quickly swelling subsides, and when normal life resumes differ from person to person and also depend on your work and activity level. So I do not commit to a number of days; I advise the next step while watching how recovery is going.

Male Staff, and Time to Ease the Tension

Of their first visit, they said, "There were male nurses, so there was no burden, and they were kind, which was good."

This is care in which you have to show your chest. Who is present largely determines the burden of a first visit. That is also why we have male staff.

They also wrote that the effort made to ease their tension stayed with them. Staying beside the patient and monitoring their condition in the operating room is the work of the anesthesiologist and the surgical team. As the operating surgeon I enter after anesthesia is complete and concentrate on the surgery, and I give the results once it is over.

Light Colors

In the box for what they most wanted to do first after surgery, what this person wrote was: "Wear light-colored clothes."

The habit of choosing only dark colors, the habit of layering T-shirts — kept long enough, they harden into something like taste. I read it as meaning they can let that habit go now.

To others with the same concern, they encouraged giving it a try, and wrote that their own daily life had changed. That is the change they felt, and what changes after surgery, and how, differs from person to person. The order is to confirm at an examination whether surgery is warranted at all.

It is the season for light colors.
