No More Worrying About What to Wear

What he most wants to do after surgery

Reading reviews online, a thought can occur to you: everyone says it's good — isn't that an exaggeration? The patient I want to talk about today felt that way too. He said he came in half-doubting, precisely because the reviews were so good. That is what made his questionnaire all the more valuable. He wrote what was good as good, and what was hard as hard, exactly as it was. Today, I share those honest answers just as they were.

No More Worrying About What to Wear

A Clinic With Only Men

As his impression of the clinic, this patient wrote: "All the staff being men put me at ease, and I liked that there was a separate waiting room." A worry about the chest is a burden simply to reveal to others. That everyone he encountered — from consultation through recovery — was a man, and that there was a waiting space where his path did not cross with other patients. If the structure we maintain helped ease the tension of someone who came in half-doubting, then I am glad.

Same-Day Discharge Was Not Entirely Easy

Let me share one honest point. This patient said the trip home on the day of surgery was not easy. And for those who would come after him, he even left a tip: bring plenty of outerwear. One's condition right after surgery varies greatly from person to person. Some walk out calmly, while for others, like this patient, the day itself feels demanding. That is why we advise bringing comfortable clothes that can be worn loosely over the compression garment, and tops that open at the front. His tip is more persuasive advice than our own guidance sheet, so I pass it on as it is.

On His Request for Improvement

This patient also left the opinion that he would prefer going home after one to three days of recovery, rather than same-day discharge. I received it gratefully. Requests about the manner of recovery differ among patients, and it is by such voices accumulating that a protocol gets refined. I will keep the question of post-surgery care and the timing of discharge as a task for us to continue reviewing.

Off to Buy Clothes Without a Worry

In the box asking what he most wanted to do after surgery, he wrote: "No more worrying about what to wear. I plan to buy clothes without a second thought." It means the days of checking, in a clothing store, not the design but whether the chest stands out, are over. In the last box, along with a note that he wished he had done it a little younger, he left the impression that he was satisfied. Of course, that satisfaction is his own personal story, and whether to have surgery is something to judge after confirming your own condition through a consultation. A man who came in half-doubting left behind an honest questionnaire. We aim to be a clinic that answers that honesty with honesty of our own. If you feel you need to confirm things, come and confirm them at TRUEMAN Gangnam.
