“It Was My First Sleep Anesthesia —

When we ask patients why surgery frightens them, the anesthesia comes up surprisingly often.
“I've never had sleep anesthesia before. What if something happens while I'm asleep?” A fear not so much of the surgery itself, but of that moment of falling asleep. Today we share the story of one patient who moved past that vague fear with calm composure.
His biggest worry
